While we continue to bum around on our bikes each day, many guys and girls are working tirelessly to help support our fundraising efforts.
We would like to say a huge thankyou to Hannah Bullmore for organising a recent bike ride around Rutland water. The group raised another £165 towards our target. Great pedalling people !
More thanks also go to John Clarke – who as I type is beginning a 100km run, from London to Brighton !!
Some will remember John as the tireless quiz night host extrordinaire, others as the reigning champion and “10 by Thames” record holder, but personally I will remember him as a man who just can’t say “no”. We both wish “the Shark” all the best with his 4 week schedule of fundraising activities. Read more about John’s crazy itinery below!
Hello, and thanks for taking the time to have a look at what i’m up to! About 6 months ago a friend asked if i fancied joining him on the London to Brighton Ultra Marathon, i thought about it for a minute, maybe less, and said, ‘”yeah, why not”. Well, i now just realised that this 56 mile race is only one day away! In the intervening months i seem to have said ‘yeah, why not’ a few times and now my September looks like this:
5th: 56 Mile London To Brighton Ultra Marathon
12th: HSBC Sprint Triathlon
19th: Help for Heroes Military Fitness Test in Battersea
26th: Run to the Beat Half Marathon
All of this pales though in comparrison to what my friends Tom and Jodie are undertaking….they starting cycling in June….to Auckland….in New Zealand! So, the London and Brighton run and other events are just a small little contribution of my time towards their chosen charity, Rays of Sunshine, a UK children’s charity which turns dreams and wishes into happy memories for children with serious and life threatening illnesses. They also provide equipment and medical assistance to the children and their families. I have kids and i’m sure you’ll agree this is an extremely worthwhile cause!
Anyhow, if you are able to donate event the samllest amount it will be greatly appreciated by me, Tom and Jodie….but most of all by the Children who just haven’t got the same future as you or me! Thank you. Truely!
